Metro Announces New Officers and Branch Manager Promotions
CHELSEA, MA – February 4, 2025 – Metro Credit Union, the largest state-chartered credit union in Massachusetts, today announced the following officer appointments and promotions, and branch manager promotions: Jim Page has joined Metro as VP Learning & Talent Development; Wafaa Lahmeur has been promoted to AVP Regional Manager; Lucas Ross has been promoted to AVP Mortgage Loan Originations; Cotey Collins-Hernandez has been promoted to Branch Manager, Medford; Zachary Fink has been promoted to Branch Manager, Commonwealth Ave. - Boston; Estela Shingleton has joined Metro as Branch Manager, Lawrence.

Jim Page
Jim Page has joined Metro as VP Learning & Talent Development. Prior to Metro, he served as Director of Learning & Talent Development at Klaviyo and brings more than 20 years of experience in scaling people and learning initiatives across industries including education and technology. In his role at Metro, he leads Learning & Development, Performance Management, and Employee Engagement.

Lucas Ross
Lucas Ross has been promoted to AVP Mortgage Loan Originations. Ross joined Metro in 2010 as a Mortgage Specialist and earned recognition as a top loan originator by The Warren Group and as one of the top 500 mortgage originators in the U.S. by Scotsman Guide. He most recently served as Manager, Mortgage Sales and oversees all residential mortgage and home equity loan originations at the credit union.

Wafaa Lahmeur
Wafaa Lahmeur has been promoted to AVP Regional Manager. Lahmeur joined Metro in 2011 as a teller and earned several promotions before her appointment as Branch Manager at Metro’s Chelsea Main branch, located at its corporate offices in 2018. In 2024, she was promoted to AVP Branch Manager. As AVP Regional Manager, Lahmeur will oversee branch operations and service initiatives of Metro’s branches in Boston, Chelsea, Dorchester, Framingham, Melrose, Newton, and West Roxbury.

Cotey Collins-Hernandez
Cotey Collins-Hernandez has been promoted to Branch Manager at Metro’s Medford branch. Collins-Hernandez joined Metro in 2023 as an Assistant Branch Manager at the credit union’s main branch in Chelsea, where he assisted in managing daily operations. In his new role, he will oversee customer service, sales initiatives, and branch operations in Medford. He is also a member of the Economic Development Board and Community Preservation Committee for the City of Chelsea.

Zachary Fink
Zachary Fink has been promoted to Branch Manager, Commonwealth Ave. - Boston. Fink joined Metro as a Sales & Service Supervisor in 2023 and most recently served as Assistant Branch Manager. In his new role, he oversees all operations, customer service, and sales initiatives for the Commonwealth Avenue branch.

Estela Shingleton
Estela Shingleton has been named Branch Manager of Metro’s Lawrence branch. Prior to Metro, Shingleton served as AVP Branch Manager and Loan Originator at Webster First Federal Credit Union in Hopkinton, Mass. She brings more than 20 years of banking experience to Metro and will oversee all Lawrence branch operations, including team sales objectives and goals.
