Through our grants, donations, sponsorships, and volunteerism we support initiatives that foster affordable housing, financial wellness, community development, and equitable opportunities for all. Together, we’re building a brighter future for individuals and families across our region.

Empowering Communities Through Giving and Volunteerism

Metro Credit Union is deeply committed to enhancing the well-being of the communities we serve. Our philanthropic efforts are channeled through three primary avenues: Grants, Community Donations, and Event Sponsorships.

Volunteerism is extremely important to our organization. At Metro, we encourage all of our employees to get involved in their communities. Each employee is given additional time off each year to spend helping out at an organization of their choice.

Grants

Grants provide program or general operating support to non-profits designated as a 501(c)(3) Public Charity by the IRS. Organizations must be located within our field-of-membership .

Funding Priorities

Community development that creates vibrant and equitable neighborhoods.
Securing safe and affordable housing opportunities and access to homeownership with downpayment assistance and homebuyer education programs.
Financial wellness and advancement which promotes financial competency and empowerment.

Community Donations

Community donations are made to both 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and community organizations in furtherance of their mission and work. Organizations must be located within our field-of-membership .

Application Timeline

Accepting applications throughout the year. Decision will be made within a week of submission.

Event Sponsorships

Event Sponsorships are requests for funding for date-specific events to 501(c)(3) nonprofit and community-based organizations. Organizations must be located within our field-of-membership .
